Justice on the Global Stage forum is the flagship public event of the Judicial Fellowship Program, an international exchange that brings together 25 judges from 21 countries to explore the role of judicial leadership, institutional resilience, and the rule of law in strengthening societies.

The Forum expands that conversation by bringing Judicial Fellows together alongside leaders from business, technology, government, academia, and civil society to explore how courts and legal institutions help societies navigate uncertainty, recover from crisis, foster economic opportunity, and earn public trust.

Through conversations on institutional resilience, people-centered justice, economic competitiveness, and public confidence, speakers will examine why strong institutions remain essential to stability, prosperity, and democratic resilience.

From Ukraine to Mexico, from anti-corruption efforts to economic development and democratic resilience, the forum offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from judicial leaders who are shaping the future of justice in their countries and communities.

In partnership with The Presidential Precinct, the Judicial Fellowship Program is a professional exchange and residential learning experience designed to strengthen the legal systems in foreign countries by building a cadre of judicial leaders from around the world.

Now in its third year, the Judicial Fellowship Program will bring together 25 judges and magistrates from 21 countries across 6 regions of the world to Washington, D.C., and Charlottesville, Virginia for a rigorous two-week program focused on upholding the rule of law.

The 2026 cohort includes judges leading anti-corruption courts, judicial reform efforts, constitutional and human rights tribunals, commercial and competition courts, and courts responding to the challenges of conflict, technological change, and institutional transformation. Many fellows train judges, teach future legal leaders, and help shape policy and reform efforts in their home countries.
