India COVID Crisis - How Businesses Can Help, Part 2

The second wave of COVID-19 infections continues to overwhelm India’s healthcare system, with the country having reported nearly 7 million cases in April alone. As the fifth largest economy in the world with a population of nearly 1.4 billion people, the crisis has not only struck India with a devastating impact, it is also threatening the progress made in our global health and economic recovery.

This event is hosted by The Global Task Force on Pandemic Response, a newly formed U.S.-based public-private partnership co-organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and the Business Roundtable, working with the Chamber’s U.S.-India Business Council and the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum.

Join us at 6:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 4, to discuss the latest updates and threats at hand, what they mean for India and the rest of the world, and actions the U.S. government is taking to address this crisis. We’ll also share information on the Global Task Force on Pandemic Response, a unified effort for businesses to mobilize and deliver resources to relieve surges of COVID-19 around the globe, including hard-hit countries like India.

We are working closely with both the U.S. and Indian governments to facilitate the donation and distribution of critical goods and services. Visit our resources page for a list of supplies and other resources needed in the affected regions, including a portal through which American companies can offer in-kind donations.
