About the Program

The opioid crisis and COVID-19 pandemic are intersecting with each other and presenting new challenges for families, communities, and businesses.

Over 81,000 drug overdose deaths occurred in the United States in the 12 months ending in May 2020, the highest number of overdose deaths ever recorded in a 12-month period, according to the CDC.

In Idaho, recent CDC data show that nearly half of reported overdose deaths were caused by opioids.

Join us on April 13 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. MT for a series of conversations to arm business owners with the tools and resources they need to help respond to these overlapping crises.

We’ll discuss how the combined health and economic crises linked to the coronavirus are creating new challenges for employers and employees already struggling with the opioid epidemic and share best practices to shape a proactive and informed response.

About Sharing Solutions

Sharing Solutions was created by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation in 2019 to provide employer resources and showcase innovative solutions to the opioid crisis.

We work to identify resource needs and then aggregate, synthesize, and feature resources in an accessible way for the people who need them most.

We believe that business is part of the solution. Businesses are a vehicle to help solve this crisis. Together, we can make a difference and save lives.
