Alexandra (Alexa) Miller leads the Chamber Foundation's tech for good portfolio as director of its Digital Empowers National Campaign, and the strategic vision, content curation, and creative direction for its annual Corporate Citizenship Conference and Citizens Awards programs, as well as the production of signature Issue Network Conferences as the associate manager larger Corporate Citizenship Center's analog and virtual programming.
She has a nack for picking up on emerging societal trends and making sense of their complexities, but is the most intrigued by local innovation ecosystems and the tech-driven solutions positively impacting and community improvement, nonprofit capacity building, civic engagement, and local economic development. She also supports these interests in her personal life, as a volunteer arts education teacher for Project Create and a founding member of Travel + Social Good's Washington, DC chapter.
Prior to the Chamber Foundation, Alexa was active in Missouri politics; she worked for state and federal leaders in the state capitol and U.S. Senate district offices. While in this arena, she later lobbied on behalf of University of Missouri students as a registered lobbyist and helped engage them in the political sphere as the chairman of the American Enterprise Institute’s OnCampus Program. Her education policy experience also led to opportunities with the Council of Graduate Schools.
Alexa graduated from the Harry S. Truman School of Public Affairs with a Master’s in Public Affairs - Public Policy and Graduate Certificate in Organizational Change. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Missouri.
