Speaker Bio
Skilled in risk management, stakeholder engagement and strategy implementation, Kyla Fisher has spent over two decades helping mid-sized companies and industry associations integrate sustainability into their business strategy.
Focused primarily on sustainability within the packaging sector, Kyla has developed corporate sustainability programs, researched trends and needs, and led collaborative cross-sector efforts to advance national policy for sustainable packaging, recycling and waste management.
Facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogues to inform strategy has been an emphasis across her career. This collaborative extends back to her early career in the Canadian petroleum industry, where she won national recognition for her efforts leading the stakeholder and government relations for the first company to develop coalbed methane and shale gases in Canada, and as a program manager for the 2002 G-8 Summit.
A former instructor of strategy for ASU’s Masters of Sustainability program, Kyla passionately believes that sustainability is not an “add-on for businesses but rather should be seen as a strategic offering that offers resiliency in uncertain times.
