Dr. Walling is a health communication scientist within the MITRE Labs Health & Society Innovation Center. Brandon has experience conducting mixed methodology research using quantitative and qualitative data analysis to better understand issues related to health behavior. Brandon is a lead researcher and Deputy Project Lead for the HIPETM Lab, applying behavioral change theory in the context of building resilience across the information ecosystem. Prior to joining MITRE in July 2022, Dr. Walling served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at Michigan State University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Communication (April, 2021).
