Mrs. Henry- Spires currently serves as Biden-Harris Presidential Appointee. She is the Senior Advisor to the Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. In this role, she is a member of the leadership team which manages the activities of the Small Business Administration, agency operations, policy development and program implementation. She also provides confidential strategic advice to the Administrator on policy, programming, legislative affairs, and staff organization. In addition, she serves as the Administrator’s liaison to the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience and the Office of Entrepreneurial Development. She was tasked with improving and enhancing the efficiency of COVID programs from application through post award. To accomplish this goal she worked closely with the Administrator, the White House, Capitol Hill, and Stakeholders to ensure that the relief needed by small businesses across the country is available and delivered with equity and ease of accessibility.

Income Security for Senator Max Baucus, former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance. As a member of the Finance Committee’s Health Team, she is credited as one of the architects of the Affordable Care Act and with the historic expansion of Unemployment Benefits and work supports during the Great Recession of 2008.
Ms. Henry-Spires holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Policy and Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. She was awarded a 2006 Brookings Institution Legis Fellowship and has a certificate in Delivery System Reform from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government.
