Jason is a highly respected executive thought leader in security, safety, resilience and crisis management and is known for his ability to bring people together when developing innovative, forward-thinking strategies.

Jason is currently the head of Global Emergency Management (Group Director) for Walmart, Inc., which is his third tour in this role that is responsible for the full spectrum of emergency functions including Business Resilience Planning, Emergency Preparedness, Emergency Operations, and Disaster Recovery. In this role, Jason has helped prepare and lead the company through several of the largest crises over the last two decades. Additionally, in his 18-year total tenure with Walmart Jason has led various innovations, transformation, and strategy teams.

Jason returned to Walmart in 2023 following a few years hiatus where he served as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for the Bass Pro Shops family of companies where he had the full breadth of responsibility for physical and cyber security, safety, and regulatory compliance. Prior to his return to Walmart, Jason also served as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for Infinite Blue Applications, a resilience technology company, with responsibility for physical and cyber security and working towards greater resilience for Fortune 500 customers across several industries.

Prior to his work in the private sector, Jason worked in the fire service as an Assistant Fire Chief and in law enforcement at city, county and state levels with his last assignment being at the Arkansas State Police. Jason holds an undergraduate degree in Emergency Management and master’s degrees in Security Management (MA) and Business Administration (MBA).
