Dr. Shawn Lonergan is a principal in PwC’s Cyber, Risk, and Regulatory practice where he is the global technology and operational resilience leader. He has over 18 years of combined experience between the public and private sectors. In the former, Shawn was a former US Army Intelligence and Cyber officer, with significant operational experience in deployed environments, and held key roles at the National Security Agency, United States Cyber Command, and at the United States Military Academy at West Point where he taught cyber operations. Of note, Shawn was the former head of the DoD's pilot program to protect critical infrastructure from systemic cyber attacks. Shawn is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and holds two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. He recently authored the book Escalation Dynamics in Cyberspace published by Oxford University Press. Shawn is a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve 75th Innovation Command and most recently he served as a Senior Advisor to the US Cyberspace Solarium Commission and the Biden-Harris Presidential Transition.
