Justin Land is the community solutions program officer of Global Citizenship for The Dow Chemical Company. In this role, Land leads a global portfolio that includes geographic charitable contributions management, disaster relief, and Dow’s Engaging for Impact 2025 Sustainability Goal and global volunteerism strategy. Land also has public affairs responsibility for Dow’s Northeast US sites.
Land joined Dow in September 2012, serving as the Northeast public affairs manager, responsible for advancing Dow’s reputation, building employee pride and engagement, and driving community success throughout the Delaware Valley and Northeast. Prior to Land’s current role, he led communications for Dow’s Olympic & Sports Solutions business.
Prior to joining Dow, Land worked for NYC Emergency Management for three years. As senior community outreach coordinator, he cultivated, established and maintained relationships with community, government, the private sector, and volunteer organizations and programs to instill a level of emergency preparedness and community resiliency in the event of an emergency. During this time, Land served as the co-chair of the NYC Citizen Corps Council, a nationally recognized network of non-profits, government organizations, and cultural and faith-based institutions focused on grassroots emergency preparedness and volunteerism.
With a commitment to service, Land is chair of Keep Philadelphia Beautiful’s board of directors and a graduate of Leadership Philadelphia. He spent three years with the United States Peace Corps in Dakar, Senegal where he assisted hospitals in the implementation of health-based urban agriculture projects. In addition, in 2005 during the nationwide response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, he served with the American Red Cross in Atlanta, Georgia.
Land holds a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Georgia.
