Kathryn Dickey Karol is a senior vice president of Caterpillar Inc., responsible for global government and corporate affairs. In this position, she leads teams in federal and state government affairs, global government and public affairs, enterprise communications, media affairs, corporate social responsibility and enterprise reputation. Karol also serves as Chair of the Caterpillar Foundation Board of Directors, the philanthropic organization of Caterpillar Inc.

Karol joined Caterpillar in September 2012 from Amgen, Inc., where she was vice president of global government and corporate affairs. Previously, she was executive director for global government affairs and corporate affairs for Eli Lilly and Company. Karol also served in senior political positions at the U.S. Department of Treasury and U.S. Department of Justice.

A native of Washington, D.C., Karol graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and political science.

Karol currently serves on the Presidential Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa and on the Millennium Challenge Corporation Advisory Council. She previously served and remains active on the Executive Committee of the Economic Club of Washington, in addition to the Arthur W. Page Society.
