Tristan D. Hunt, MD, MBA, is the chief operating officer for Roivant Health, the platform within Roivant Sciences to build and scale new health technology companies. As COO he leads strategy, operations, talent development, and recruiting, in addition to providing oversight and guidance across a portfolio of incubations and partnerships.
Previously, Tristan was a Partner in the New York office of Boston Consulting Group (BCG). As a physician and leader within BCG’s healthcare practice, he was an expert in growth
strategy, innovation, and due diligence; serving clients ranging from Series A to Fortune 500 companies, as well as global health institutions, and principal investors.
A bold critical thinker and creative problem solver, he primarily focuses on health tech and biotech topics with a deep commitment to ensuring advances in care delivery, technology, and biology achieve maximum impact on health outcomes.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tristan co-led BCG’s Central Covid Response Team, responsible for thought leadership and coordinated support for BCG teams serving private- and public-sector organizations, including 10+ US States and the US Business Roundtable. In 2021, he conceptualized and spearheaded the Global Covid Corps, a first-of-its-kind coalition of leading global companies mobilizing human capital and capacity to support vaccination efforts in low- and middle-income countries. In addition, he led the development and deployment of BCG’s advanced analytics platform to aid vaccine site network optimization, supply allocation, and rollout tracking.
Tristan is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, and Columbia Business School. He serves as a Fellow of the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation, supporting the Foundation’s work to strengthen public-private partnerships and providing thought leadership on current and future issues impacting US business.
