What’s brown, small and an innovative approach to sustainability? It’s the new micro hub in the city of Cambridge, UK. We’ve converted a shipping container to serve as a consolidation and dispatch point for packages bound for the city center. We’ll use three electric-assisted quad cycles, known as eQuads, supporting deliveries typically made by conventional diesel vans. From a smart charging grid for our electric vehicles to electric-assisted delivery walker, the UK has long been a laboratory for our susty innovation. In fact, we’re leading more than 30 projects in European cities that use eQuads and electric bikes. Today our CEO Carol B. Tomé met with employees from around the world to share what's wildly important to her. Today we announced Q1 2024 consolidated revenues of $21.7 billion, a 5.3% decrease from Q1 2023. “I want to thank all UPSers for their hard work and efforts,” said CEO Carol Tomé. “Our financial performance in the first quarter was in line with our expectations, and average daily volume in the U.S. showed improvement through the quarter. 💙🩺 Dina Elmore always knew her work at UPS Healthcare, delivering potentially life-saving medical equipment and supplies, was critically important. However, it wasn't until her daughter, Riley, battled health issues that she saw her work from the patient's perspective. Dina's story: “During her sophomore year in high school, Riley was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease. She was in and out of the hospital, missing a significant portion of her junior year. “In early 2023, doctors successfully removed her thyroid. Now, our beautiful daughter is doing very well, and is really enjoying her senior year!
