Brittany Perkins Castillo is the Chief Executive Officer of AshBritt Companies, a leading rapid-response emergency management, logistics, disaster response, and infrastructure firm that has completed more than 400 missions for over 600 clients across the United States and the Caribbean. Under her decade of leadership, AshBritt has expanded its logistics, energy, and infrastructure divisions while remaining a trusted partner to local, state, and federal agencies, as well as public and private organizations.

As CEO, Brittany has led AshBritt’s historic debris and environmental missions with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in California (2017) and North Carolina (2024–2025), along with the two largest inland waterway clean-up projects in the United States in more than a century in Kentucky (2022) and North Carolina (2024–2025). Her work emphasizes large-scale, complex operations that restore communities and critical infrastructure after emergency and disaster events.

Before joining AshBritt in 2016, Brittany practiced law in Texas and worked as a project manager in Qatar, bringing a global and multidisciplinary perspective to her leadership. She holds a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University.

Brittany is a recognized champion for small business participation in emergency management and for centering mental health, children, and families in disaster recovery. She founded Stronger than the Storm, an organization that equips children and families to understand, prepare for, and recover from disasters, publishing the Good Fun for Bad Days book series (Henry and the Hurricane, Kids Can Be Hero Helpers activity book) and distributing thousands of books, educational resources, and free online tools to communities.

She is also the founder of WTFem (Women in the Field of Emergency Management), a platform that advances women’s visibility, connection, and professional growth in the industry through grants, networking events, panel discussions, and an online library of research and academic programs. Outside of disaster response, Brittany is a mother of two and enjoys training for endurance events with her husband; she has completed an Ironman 70.3 and marathons.
