Dr. Thomas Plagge is a co-founder and CTO at Brighthive, a company providing technical infrastructure, governance, and support for multi-party data collaboratives. He also served as a senior data scientist at Recurve, as a partner at Impact Lab Consulting. and as a researcher at the University of Chicago. While at the University of Chicago, he was a co-organizer of the Data Science for Social Good fellowship, which was designed to teach advanced students and professional data scientists how to work on practical problems in the social sector. Tom received his PhD from the University of California-Berkeley in 2009 for his work on analyzing galaxy clusters using Cosmic Microwave Background observations.
