TRIDENT BUILDERS is an award winning commercial construction management and general contracting firm based in Baltimore. Our firm operates in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia and southern Pennsylvania. We specialize in commercial office interior build out, restaurant, retail, secure facility (SCIF), both residential and commercial scale solar, and luxury multi-family residential. Our workload is split almost evenly between the government and private commercial sectors. We are sought out for technically sophisticated projects and excel at design build work. Founded in early 2015 by Brendan McCluskey, Trident started making its mark in the local Baltimore/DC market performing interior fit out with luxury branded clientele, but has also demonstrated a commitment to all of our communities.

Brendan McCluskey is a graduate of Eckerd College (B.A. - Management), and of The University of Massachusetts Amherst (MBA) where he focused on entrepreneurship and worked on renewable energy based business models. He has also completed some master’s level study in Real Estate Development at Georgetown University. He is a L.E.E.D. Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and a Project Management Professional (PMP). He is also a PHIUS Certified Builder (CPHB). He is a technical advisor to both Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business and Morgan State University’s Schools of Architecture and Construction. With Hopkins he is a contributor to both their CityLAB and ‘Collaboratory’ programs.

Brendan earned a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from Goldman Sachs 10KSB Program, a selective and intensive program focused on potential high growth companies that is administered by Babson University and was conducted at The Johns Hopkins University. He serves as a program Ambassador, and is Co-Chair of the 10KSB Voices Maryland Leadership Council as a member of their 10,000 Voices program, which politically advocates on behalf of all small businesses at the state and national level. He has been interviewed several times by national media on issues facing small businesses. Trident is a resident company at “The Light of Baltimore Incubator” at 100 Light Street in downtown Baltimore. Trident Builders is a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Council. He has occasionally advocated for the Small Business Majority.
