Mardi started her career out of college in retail. Her retail experience brought her to work for a renewable energy company where she led the customer service team. As she grew with the company, she branched into utility scale solar development, traveling the country to talk with landowners and communities about renewable energy. She then transitioned to municipal work, employed with the City of Philadelphia in their Energy Office, assisting in managing the energy portfolio and monitoring City owned facility energy use to meet the City’s climate goals. She also was a consultant helping higher education to meet their sustainability goals. She is now the County Sustainability Manager for IKEA in the US where she and her team are creating and implementing plans to help IKEA meet its 2030 climate goals.
