Hiba Mooney is Head of Climate and Environmental Strategy at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, responsible for the strategic development and implementation of HPE’s net-zero roadmap, sustainable and circular product design and materials sourcing through supply chain, in collaboration with product stewards, engineers, and sourcing teams. She also leads the company’s senior-level engagement with federal agencies on climate-related policy discussions. Hiba is a member of the Board of Directors at Clean Energy Buyers Association and she co-chairs the Climate Committee for ITI.
Hiba previously led the Supply Chain Environmental Sustainability program at HPE, working directly with suppliers on their climate change programs, environmental capability building, and water risk mitigation practices.
Prior to joining HPE, Hiba led and implemented the global environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance, audit, and IT programs at Northrop Grumman Corporation. She also served on the Board of Directors for the International Aerospace Environmental Group, a collection of global aerospace and defense companies focused on developing environmental and sustainability best practices.
Ms. Mooney earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Virginia, with a minor in Engineering Business. After working as a consultant at an environmental firm, she went on to earn her Master of Environmental Management degree in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Health from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment.
