Bryan Spence is the National Director of Programs at Liberty Mutual Foundation with responsibility for the philanthropy team and giving in Boston, Seattle and Dallas. Liberty’s philanthropy invests in nonprofits that advance security and build resiliency for underserved people and communities. Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Bryan was Chief Development Officer at Ellis Early Learning and also worked in development at EdVestors and Northeastern University. His background also includes roles in philanthropy at New England Financial/MetLife, Delta Dental of Massachusetts and Clipper Ship Foundation. Bryan has served on numerous boards and committees including Philanthropy Massachusetts, Family Service of Greater Boston, Steppingstone Foundation, Neighborhood Development Support Collaborative, and grant review committees at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. Bryan is a graduate of Brown University with a BA in Urban Studies, holds a Certificate in Corporate Citizenship from Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship and is an alum of The Partnership’s Next Generation Executive Program.
