Orlando is the co-founder & CEO of Aker Technologies, an agriculture diagnostic data and service company based in the Midwest. Orlando started his career in the telecommunications industry as a software developer. He has held C-level roles in two early-stage companies with a combined exit of over $50M including Boingo Wireless, the largest WiFi hotspot in the world. Four years ago, Orlando saw an opportunity in the fast-growing precision agricultural sector. He met his co-founder and partner Todd Golly, a successful farmer and early technology adopter. After meeting Todd and several months discussing how autonomous remote sensor would solve several real industry problems, Aker’s was born.
