Ramsay Huntley is the sustainable finance strategist for Wells Fargo. A member of the Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility leadership team, Ramsay oversees the development and execution of Wells Fargo’s sustainable finance strategy. In this role, he works with business partners across the bank to develop new opportunities that support Wells Fargo’s $200 billion sustainable finance commitment and position the bank to lead the transition to a low carbon economy. He also has responsibility for the bank’s clean tech philanthropy programs, including the award-winning Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2) in conjunction with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. In this role, he is responsible for Wells Fargo’s support for the clean tech ecosystem, with a particular focus on bringing early stage technologies and companies rapidly to scale.
Before joining Wells Fargo in 2018, Ramsay led the commercial development of Simple Energy’s (now Uplight) rebates-as-a-service (RaaS) offering to allow utility customers to easily qualify for instant rebates on energy efficient products such as smart thermostats at the point of sale at their favorite retailers. Prior to taking on the RaaS role, he managed client relationships with some of the nation’s largest electric utilities. Ramsay previously served as a senior sustainability manager at DIRECTV, launching the sustainability program there and leading DIRECTV’s efforts to procure renewable energy, produce efficient products and report on its sustainability progress.
Ramsay holds a master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University and a B.S. in Business Management from North Carolina State University. He is based in Denver where he and his wife are parents to two elementary school age boys and he can often be found trail running or skiing in Colorado’s beautiful high country. His personal favorite clean tech gadgets are his 2.5 kW solar system and Radwagon electric cargo bike.
