Khan Jahier is the Resilience Policy Officer in the Resilience Section of the Defence Policy and Planning Division at NATO International Staff. He is the section’s lead on Resilience and Civil Protection, including Societal Resilience. He is also responsible for the Civil Preparedness aspects of CBRN Defence, Ballistic Missile Defence, Crisis Management and Counter Terrorism.
From 2005-2009, Khan was Counsellor Civil Emergency Planning (NATO) and Civilian Crisis Management (EU) at the Permanent Representations of the Kingdom of The Netherlands to the EU and NATO.
From 2002-2005, Khan was Deputy Head of the International Affairs Department at the Ministry of the Interior of The Netherlands.
Khan has a master’s degree in Dutch Law and a master’s degree in International Law from the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands.
He is married and he and his wife have two sons.
