Vanessa M. Escobar received her B.S. degree in geology and chemistry from Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park, California, in 2000 and her M.S. degree in geology and water management policy from Arizona State University, Tempe, in 2009. She is currently working as the lead scientist for NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration GEO-XO. User Requirements group at Science Systems and Applications (SSAI). Her work is dedicated to connecting scientific data and models and translating discussions across scientific and political boundaries in the fields of hydrology, remote sensing, public health, and water management.
