David Fortino is an expert in business resiliency and crisis response. Currently, David is the Director of Strategic Response at Circle Internet Financial. Circle is a global financial technology firm that’s at the center of digital currency innovation and open financial infrastructure. David joined Circle to develop a global resilience program which includes business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery.

Prior to joining Circle, David was the Head of Global Crisis Management at Pratt & Whitney. At Pratt & Whitney, David was responsible for building a global crisis management program for a $16 billion-dollar aerospace company with 43,000 employees and over 100+ sites across the world. David acted as the incident commander for the Russia-Ukraine escalation, Global Covid-19 response, and several hurricanes impacting the facilities.

Prior to joining the private sector, David spent 10 years in the public sector at the Federal Emergency Management Agency in New York City. Here, David held several different roles during his tenure, departing as the Regional Continuity Manager. Acting as the Emergency Group Supervisor during Hurricane Maria and Superstorm Sandy, David played a pivotal role in the coordination and collaboration of emergency resources during these presidentially declared disasters.

David served as an expert for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in crisis management and resiliency. He is a member of the Out in National Security organization and was on the DHS CISA critical manufacturing council as an elected member. Finally, David is a certified business continuity professional (CBCP) from DRI International.
