Kathy serves as the head of USAID’s Humanitarian Assistance Private Sector Engagement Team. In this role, Kathy focuses on strategically involving both local and multinational businesses in humanitarian settings – both prior to and during such scenarios. She also serves as the Agency’s lead for engaging transportation & logistics firms. She has served in leadership roles on multiple USAID humanitarian assistance response teams. Kathy brings more than 17 years of experience focused on development, resilience, livelihoods, and community / civic engagement programming. Kathy has lived and worked in several countries across Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia with a focus on fragile and conflict settings. She previously worked in the private sector.
