Randy Bumps is Vice President of Public Relations and Global Affairs. He leads media relations, public affairs and corporate social responsibility for RTX. His team is responsible for engaging internal and external stakeholders through compelling corporate communications and social impact partnerships that reinforce the company’s position as a leader in aerospace and defense.
Prior to his current role, Bumps served as senior director of CSR at United Technologies Corporation (UTC). Before that, he spent more than 15 years in state and federal elected, political and government affairs positions.
Bumps was managing director at Direct Impact, a grassroots communications agency and wholly owned subsidiary of Burson Marsteller, where he provided senior communications counsel to clients and was a leader on the business development team. Bumps is also a former Maine state legislator, former national political campaign operative and has worked for three United States Senators.
Bumps holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Bates College. He completed UTC’s Emerging Leaders Program at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia and RTX’s Accelerating Leadership Impact Program conducted by Duke University.
