Speaker Bio
Shanique Streete works closely with the Senior Vice President and Issue Network Directors to develop and cultivate strategic engagement with the corporate sector.

Most recently, Shanique led the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Corporate Briefing Center, a key tool in corporate recruitment and member engagement. She also managed special projects for the Fundraising and Development Team. Following the passage of the CARES Act, Shanique coordinated briefings and webinars for Chamber policy specialists to explain legislative provisions to companies and their supply chain partners.

Prior to the U.S. Chamber, she worked with CARE, a global humanitarian organization focused on empowering women and girls. Shanique was a program manager with the CARE Learning Tours team, where she developed and implemented high-level international trips for U.S. administration officials, members of Congress, congressional staff and corporate partners to better understand the impact of U.S. foreign assistance. During each learning tour, Shanique organized meetings with government officials and local partners, and site visits in urban and rural communities so delegates could speak directly to program participants.

Shanique also holds the unique distinction of leading the first CARE Citizen Advocacy Learning Tour to Benin for volunteer advocates and CARE staff to learn about efforts to empower women and girls through programs focused on education, microfinance, and health interventions.

Shanique’s early career focused on international affairs, and domestic policy and advocacy. She worked on the State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), as a legislative analyst at the Women’s Congressional Policy Institute, and as a fellow with the Congressional Hunger Center where she completed placements at D.C. Hunger Solutions and the National Women’s Law Center.

She earned a B.A. in English and Women’s Studies from Tufts University and a M.A. in African Studies from UCLA.
