Barbara Den Herder has been the CEO/President of the Sioux Center Chamber since 2013 and is a proud graduate of the U.S. Chamber’s Institute for Organizational Management program in 2018. She is also a 2019 graduate of the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Business Leads Fellowship Program.

With a degree in social work, she enjoyed working in the mental health and healthcare fields prior to working for the Chamber. She is passionate about creating a platform to connect businesses to the community and generating an environment that allows for business growth and success. She has also developed several innovative programs to help businesses recruit and retain talent, including the Homecoming Grant, Leadership Sioux Center, Your Future @ Work, Classroom to Career and the Discover Sioux Center program.

The Sioux Center Chamber is an organization of 280 members ranging from large companies to locally owned businesses. Sioux Center’s informal motto is “Progress through Cooperation” and that theme is evident in their business community’s support of one another.
