Howard Byck is senior vice president of partnerships and head of development for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. He oversees donor relations and fundraising for the Foundation, including the development and implementation of its integrated strategy for major gifts, corporate giving, and foundation grants to support organizational priorities and growth.

Byck joined the U.S. Chamber Foundation with more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles where he achieved significant revenue and social impact through innovative corporate, sports, and nonprofit partnerships.

He was formerly senior vice president of corporate and sports alliances at the American Cancer Society, where he led cause-marketing campaigns, sponsorships, licensing, workplace giving programs, and corporate foundation grants to fund cancer research, advocacy, health equity programs, and patient support services.

Previously, Byck was senior vice president of client services for Strayer@Work, part of Strategic Education, Inc.’s portfolio of investor-funded corporate education programs. In that role, he developed and launched a new human capital consulting venture to help Fortune 1000 companies identify the skills gap in their organizations and deliver targeted training and education.  

Prior to that, Byck was senior vice president of lifestyle products for AARP Services, the taxable business subsidiary of AARP, where he directed business development, product management, and marketing of the Lifestyle portfolio to support member value, social impact, and revenue. He also served as chief marketing officer and director of creative enterprises for Share Our Strength, the entrepreneurial nonprofit focused on ending childhood hunger in the United States.

Byck started his career at The Walt Disney Company, where he held various roles, including director of corporate alliances for Walt Disney World where he managed strategic partnerships with global companies across the theme parks and resorts.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and an MBA from Rollins College. Having spent a career at the intersection of “profit and purpose,” Byck has lectured on the subject at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, Washington University’s Olin School of Business, and Cornell University’s ILR School. He has served on the board of Heart of America for more than fifteen years and is also on the board of PeerForward.
